Saturday League Play

This is a developmental league to help prepare young juniors age 12 and under for tournament play. The league is open to all junior golfers who are already playing in tournaments and junior golfers who play golf and wish to start playing in tournaments. The juniors that are already playing golf will be instrumental in guiding the less experience golfers on rules, etiquette, sportsmanship, and course playing. We will need parents to stay and volunteer to help in scoring and keeping up the pace of play. Parents are allowed to walk with the juniors and help with rulings (if knowledgeable) and ettiquette. Under no circumstances do I want parents on the course coaching their juniors on how to swing and hit the ball. Save the instruction for the driving range or their lessons. Although we want this to be a learning experience for the juniors, we also want them to be relaxed and enjoy the game of golf.

We will assign the juniors to different teams and keep their scores during the four weeks. At the end of four weeks the winning team will receive trophies. We will also have Best Buy cards for awards each week. This league will start at the end of each summer. All golfers need to be ready to play at 3:30pm. Cost for the four weeks is $80. This price includes warm-up balls, green fees, and prizes.

All players filling in as a substitute player will be charged a $15 fee that will cover that weeks cost.

Point values will be awarded based on each teams performances. The team that has the most points at the end of the four weeks will be the winners and receive trophies. We will also have individual prizes for the medalist which will be awarded at the end of the league.
